FALL 2024 CLASS SCHEDULE:


Tuesdays, Sept 10 - Dec 17 (15 classes) - open to all
6:30-8pm

$25 Drop-in, $140 for 7-class pass ($20/class), $225 for 15-class pass ($15/class)

Wednesdays, Sept 18 - Nov 20 (10 classes) - Harvard & MIT affiliates only

*For those who are enrolled on Tuesdays for the 7 to 14-class pass or Harvard Classes, you are invited to
the Sunday, 1-2pm class as a secondary class at 60% off regular tuition ($10 per class for at least 7 classes).

​SUPPLEMENTAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

​All classes are supplemented with periodic online and in-person enrichment activities (intensives, workshops, retreats, and more) where feasible. ​ Not included in tuition fee.

ATTIRE
- A comfortable Kurta or modest/long shirt
​- Pants that don't cover the top of the feet
- Hair tied back away from the face

MAKE-UP CLASSES
​You may make up classes within the session. Please email me at [email protected] for guidance and please provide advance notice whenever possible. ​

​All online classes are via Zoom
​The Zoom platform has facilitated a highly effective and safe space for students to learn and connect. Classes are intentionally a modest size and we are able to generate amazing energy, learning, and connection as a large group and in breakout rooms, regardless of where we are around the globe. We have been conducting Zoom classes since March 2019, nurturing a beautifully supportive community of students, artists, families, and supporters. ​

Periodic Fees:

• One weekend per session is reserved for a hybrid intensive (not included in tuition).
• Annual hybrid retreat
• Intensive and retreat fees cover any guest artist fees (i.e. guest teachers, tabla, vocal artists, etc.).
• ​Unable to issue refunds.​

TEACHING APPROACH & CLASS DESIGN

Offering a high standard of training and study accessible to all in the art of kathak through the lineage and style of Pandit Chitresh Das.  All classes taught by Anjali Nath and seasoned instructors and are geared toward holistic study of the full depth and breadth of the art.  The art is incredibly multi-sensory and multi-faceted and offers so much that supports our unique and different learning styles and goals. 

Kathak takes time to immerse oneself in. The depth, breadth and history of the art are vast and rich.  All classes include exposure to not only movement but rhythm, music, theory, philosophy, history, culture and more surrounding the dance.  Students are actively engaged in their own learning. 

Class offerings are designed to ensure anyone can access, experience, and benefit from the holistic physical and mental health benefits inherent in kathak dance and developed further in the training of Pandit Chitresh Das.

"Low-Impact Kathak" and "Kathak for Fitness" are designed even for those interested in accessing and experiencing the art without further obligation outside of class.

*IMMERSIVE STUDY OPTION

For those looking to deepen and advance their study of kathak

Regardless of one's goals or intentions in the dance, this program offers immersive study of kathak designed around the student.  Comprehensive study allows students to deepen their understanding of the art form and advance their physical and mental training as a kathak artist.    The more time one puts in, the more one learns and progresses.  This program necessitates two or more classes per week plus participation in intensives, vocal classes, and other appropriate offerings agreed upon by student and teacher.  If you are interested in this option, Anjali will review the program with you in more detail.
